New Technology Streamlines Diagnostic Testing
The McAllen Medical Center laboratory is the only lab in the Rio Grande Valley equipped with the Architect i1000SR®, an advanced piece of technology that performs many diagnostic tests quickly and accurately.

"It helps doctors monitor the immunosuppressant medications that transplant patients take," says Gracie Garza, System Area Lab Director.

The Architect i1000 offers high-quality detection and improved sensitivity, which helps doctors get the information they need to treat patients promptly and safely.

"The system also improves our productivity so we can meet the increased demand for diagnostic testing," Garza says.
